We love you, Park Si Hoo !!
Dorame meets her Prince Charming
Dorame is the Thai fan who has provided us with all those gorgeous photos of Park SI hoo's arrival in Bangkok on September 15. And now she has witten this first-hand account for us (translated from Thai by Nikki) - Many thanks to both!
Huh …. Don’t know how to start ! If my storytelling keeps circling around, please forgive me for that ^^
I normally live in Bangkok. If I go out of town, it will be probably 2-3 times a year for visiting my family who lives in another part of Thailand or going on vacation somewhere.
Last weekend I had to visit my family for something urgent that I needed to take care of. I took a week off from work and went to my family home last Wednesday (Sep.12, 2012). Then I checked for updates about my PSH. I screamed and screamed at the top of my lungs: “PSH is coming to Thailand on Saturday, Sep.15, 2012!” I felt like I was going to faint! Once in a while I would come back to see my family, but why .. why doesn’t he come when I’m in Bangkok? At that moment I felt like I wanted to smash my head into the wall for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. After I recovered, I started to spread the news among my friends. (Very sad that some of my friends ended up waiting for him at the wrong place and some lived too far away from Bangkok.) Everything was so sudden, so soon, that many of us couldn’t make it. Some of us just heard the news on Saturday and had no time to prepare. Many of my friends were very disappointed because they weren’t able to make it.
I had to think, and think fast. This opportunity won’t happen again any time soon; the announcement was too sudden. It didn’t give me much time to prepare anything and I didn’t know how to get started!
After another long pause, I made a quick decision. I picked up the phone and checked the flight ticket to go back to Bangkok as soon as possible without explaining to my family. Only one thing on my mind – I have to welcome him at the airport, no matter what! Voila! I got a ticket! I was kind of worried because it’s a weekend, and usually it’s very hard to find a ticket like this. Oh… I was so, so happy! But wait a minute - I had an appointment on Saturday which had to be postponed. My family was getting annoyed with me but I didn’t care. I was packed and ready to go!
Finally on Saturday morning I was back in Bangkok again. No, not at the airport yet. I had to go home first to fetch my old camera. Luckily the battery was still okay.
I ran to the store to buy paper and marker to make a sign and I bought a present for PSH. Too bad I didn’t have time to buy flowers; there just wasn’t much time to spare. I boarded the electric train to get to the airport, writing my welcome sign for PSH on the train. I could make only one (For you PSH [FYP] made another one at the airport.)
It was then 1:00 pm (PSH’s arrival schedule was 1:45 pm.) I made it! I was at the airport and met FYP and her friend who came to help us take pictures. (She isn’t a PSH fan yet!) Well, the three of us started walking toward the arrival area. Looking around, we saw most people holding regular A4 paper to pick up other passengers. Were there any PSH fans around? Whatever, we’d better look for the best location to wait for him. Yes, the beginning of the exit line should be the best spot. Ha!Ha!Ha!
Time went by and it was almost 2:30 pm. FYP spotted PSH first; she remembered his hat and she started yelling: “He’s here! He’s here! He’s here!” Everyone was electrified; everyone started moving! We waited until he walked closer and then we raised our signs. And FYP started calling him: “Sihoo-sii, Sihoo-sii, Sihoo-sii … “ I took my camera out and pressed the shutter repeatedly. When PSH came very close to us, all of us started running toward him. He smiled at us, probably surprised that he had fans coming to greet him here ^^
Scream again! When PSH walked from far away, he really stood out from everyone around him. When we ran closer to him … Oh … his complexion was so beautiful, so fair. His radiant appearance made other people around him so different from him. In that minute I couldn’t see anyone else but him — my eyes and my mind just focused on him only!
At that time I started to notice that it was not only us who ran to him. A lot of fans who were hidden around the area started coming out and running after him to take photos of him. I decided to give him my present because I was the first who stood next to him side by side and he received it from my hand as I said: “A gift for you.”
I had to run in front to take photos and then his brother walked in front of him and took photos of him too. I and FYP’s friend took turns taking photos, and I ran in front of the camera to have a picture of me next to PSH and made the ”V’ sign with my fingers as you can see in the picture.
It seemed that PSH knew that his fans wanted to take pictures with him because I noticed he started walking more slowly and sometimes he even stopped for fans to be able to take his pictures but not completely stopped. He was so cute and so considerate to his fans — he understood that his fans wanted very much to take pictures of him!
All the time he kept smiling, waving, saying “Hi”, and signing his autograph for his fans. Some fans gave him presents too.
I kept running around, front, back, side - pressing the shutter with every movement, so excited both focus and out of focus. Ha!Ha!Ha!
Then FYH’s friend shouted at me to go and take a photo with him. Scream… I ran and held his hand and asked him for a handshake, after which many people asked him too. It started a little chaos but at least I got to hold his hand. Oh … and I still followed him around in the front, in the back, all around. I was so close to him! I didn’t have to see him on the computer screen or TV anymore. I was so, so happy, happier than anything in the world. I didn’t think I could wash my hands for at least 7 days. Ha!Ha!Ha!
Dee dah Dee dah. It’s like some hormones started running all over my whole body. I kept pressing the shutter and smiling at the same time!
After we walked out to the pick-up spot, he stopped walking and gave me a chance to take some more and better photos and close-up too. Scream again! He turned his face and smiled at my camera, and this time he really did it directly just for my camera! My hands started trembling again. Oh! that big smiley face ended up out of focus because my hands were trembling.
He still kept waving to his fans all the time and not too long after that his assistant asked us to stop taking pictures of him, to give him a break and get ready to go inside the van. So we did but still stayed in the distance until his van disappeared from our sight and so did PSH.
While PSH was getting into his van, we waved goodbye to him and he waved back. When the van started to move slowly, we were still waving. We didn’t know if he could see because the windows were tinted.
You know until now when I’m not working, I keep thinking back to those fresh memories at the airport and smiling by myself, even laughing sometimes. I am just so, so happy with myself! Ha!Ha!Ha!
This kind of happiness that I never expected to happen and it came so quickly and so suddenly. Although it was a very short moment, this happiness and this memory will be with me for as long as I live ^^ And when I realize that right now he is still under the same sky as I am, it makes me even happier.
I wish him good luck with his work. I hope everything will go smoothly. I wish him to do his best to create the work for all of us to enjoy! And I hope he remembers that once when he visited Thailand, there were so many fans who came to greet him for the first time. Although he has been in Thailand before, they were just quiet time on vacation.
Until now I know it is really worth it for me to make that reckless decision to return to Bangkok just to see him ^^
The End ...

Maybe if I change my name to “Fasolatido”, some of your luck may rub off onto me. Until then, I live in envy and hope. BTW, how does PSH’s hand feel like? The texture, not the temperature.
Jill : @Hottie Fasolatido, hahaha…… you’re always making me laugh! Let’s start calling you by that name now so that we will have this kind of good luck when our Prince Charming comes to SG.
