Then there are the netizens who specialize in writing malicious comments and spreading false rumors.  They love to expose the other side of artists with squeaky clean images.

Sexual assault charges that caused a social scandal resulted in the absence of Park Si Hoo from the 50th Daejong Film Festival on October 17.  Although he was nominated for the Best New Actor award, that prize went to Kim Soo Hyun for his movie “Secretly, greatly”.  However, the issue of Park Si Hoo’s comeback aroused great interest.  There were all these rumors of Park Si Hoo’s return to the Korean entertainment world, especially since his agency issued an official apology on October 3.

His SBS drama “Cheongdam-dong Alice” and his debut movie ”Confession of Murder” enjoyed great popularity.  But he was charged with sexual assault in March [ED: PSH was NEVER charged, just summoned for questioning at Western Police Station.]  However, contents of Miss A’s Kakao talk with friends revealed that she was asking for 1 billion from Park Si Hoo [ED: attempted extortion] and also reports surfaced of a pattern of intimidation of other men after having sex with them, and so public opinion began to see Park Si Hoo as a victim.  The sexual assault case was dismissed as “No suspicion”, but Park Si Hoo was forced to cease all activities in the domestic entertainment industry and only engaged in some overseas activities.

Recently a lot of attention has been focused on his reinstatement, but the Park Si Hoo side said: ” He is entertaining various scenarios, but this year there will be no domestic activity.”  However, on November 21 “Cheongdam-dong Alice” started airing in Japan and on November 23 [ED: should be Nov.22 - why can't the K-media get it right?!] Park Si Hoo’s Japan fan club held an exhibition in Tokyo called “The Man Who Was There” where he appeared in a video talking about his plans for the first half of next year in Japan, arousing speculation of an impending comeback.
