Q : กรุณาบอกเหตุผลที่คุณตัดสินใจมารับบทนี้หน่อย ?

A : คนที่อยู่รอบๆตัวผมมักพูดอยู่เสมอว่าผมเป็นคนที่ไม่ค่อยจะแสดงความมรู้สึก พวกเขาจึงก็ไม่ค่อยทราบว่าผมกำลังคิดอะไรอยู่ จริงๆแล้วผมแค่กำลังฝันหวานอยู่ไง ( หัวเราะ )

Q : คุณมีใครเป็นแบบอย่างในการแสดงหรือเปล่า ?
A : จริงๆแล้วก็ไม่หรอก อย่างไรก็ตามเมื่อเอ่ยถึงพวกคนที่มี 2 บุคลิกแล้ว ในทันทีผมก็จะคิดไปถึง Edward Norton ใน " Primal Fear " ในหนังนั้นจะมีช่วงหนึ่งที่สุดๆเอามากเมื่อตัวละครของเขาซึ่งโดยปรกติจะเก็บซ่อนความรู้สึกเอาไว้แต่อยู่ๆก็จะเปลี่ยนไปโดยฉับพลัน การแสดงของเขานั้นแน่นอนที่สุดได้สร้างความประทับใจให้กับผมมาก ผมจึงปรารถนาที่จะได้มีโอกาสแสดงอะไรแบบนั้นสักวันหนึี่ง

A : กับภาพที่เห็นพี่ JJY เปียกโชกไปทั้งตัวขณะที่ฝนตกอยู่นั้นผมคิดว่ามันหนักหนามากเลย แต่เมื่อถึงคราวของผมบ้างที่ต้องกระโดดจากหน้ารถคันหนึ่งที่กำลังวิ่งอยู่ไปที่รถอีกคันหนึ่งนั้นผมก็ยังสงสัยว่าทำไมผมจะต้องทำมันเองทั้งหมดโดยไม่ใช้ Stuntman เลยหรือ แน่นอนอยู่แล้วที่นักแสดงไม่ควรที่จะต้องทำมันเองในจุดนี้ เราถ่ายทำกันในช่วงกลางๆของหน้าหนาวและถ่ายฉากบนรถนี้อยู่ถึง 10 วัน โดยตัวผมเองมีเพียงชุดคลุมอาบน้ำอยู่เพียงตัวเดียว ผมถูกบอกอยู่หลายครั้งโดยผ้จัดการของผมว่าให้หยุดเล่นมันไปเลย ( หัวเราะ  )


Q : บทอะไรที่คุณอยากจะแสดงในงานเรื่องต่อไปของคุณ ?
A : อะไรที่ดูเก่าๆอมตะ อย่าง " Love story " หรือ Fantasy อย่าง " Twilight " หรือหนังรักที่เต็มไปด้วยอารมณ์ความรู้สึกมากๆอย่าง " Wolf Boy " ผมอยากที่จะปรากฏตัวในหนังรักสักเรื่องหนึ่งมากๆเลย

Interview with the Director, Park Si Hoo, and Jung Jae Young of “Confession of Murder”

Q: Please tell us the reason why you decided to take this role.

■ Park Si Hoo: It was not decided immediately.  After finishing the serial drama (TPM), I was physically drained, so at first I wanted to decline, but I became interested in the synopsis of the movie and was even more interested after I read the script.  I was able to really empathize with a character who might be such a murderer.  In addition, Jung Jae Young has already been cast, and I believe I can’t go wrong surrendering to the decision of a senior.


Q: The expressionless face of Lee Du Seok was very impressive.

■ Park Si Hoo: People around me often say I’m expressionless and they don’t know what I’m thinking.  Actually I’m only daydreaming. (Laughs)

Q: Do you have a role model in acting?

■ Not really.  However, the mention of psychopaths immediately brings to mind Edward Norton in “Primal Fear”.  In the movie there is a very cataclysmic moment when his character which has been hidden suddenly changes.  His performance is indeed very impressive.  I would like to be able to give such a performance some day.


Q: About action.

■ Park Si Hoo: The sight of senior Jung Jae Young soaked to the skin in the rain made me think it would be very hard.   When it’s my turn jumping from the bonnet of one moving car to the next, I was puzzled why I had to do it all by myself and there was no stuntman.  Surely an actor should not have to do this.  We started shooting in mid-Winter and we filmed those action scenes on the cars in 10 days with me wearing just a bathrobe.  I was told many times to stop by my manager.  (Laughs)


Q: What roles would you like to play next?

■ Park Si Hoo: Something orthodox like “Love Story”, a fantasy like “Twilight”, a love story rich in sensibility like “Wolf Boy”.  I would like very much to appear in a love story like this in a movie.
